Enterprise security testing and assessments

Reliant System provides enterprise security testing, audits, and risk assessments for corporate security and IT teams that want independent evidence and a clear plan for what to fix first.

Large organizations usually have internal security staff, tools, and policies already. Instead of replacing them, Reliant works alongside them. For example, our team tests what your team asks us to test, reports what it finds in context, and then helps turn findings into work that owners can schedule.

In addition to large corporations, Reliant works with public agencies and smaller organizations. We share client names and references only with permission.

Enterprise security testing and audit services

Authorized penetration testing

First, agree on the applications, networks, or cloud-facing systems in scope. Then test them using the planning, execution, and reporting phases in NIST SP 800-115 (September 2008). Penetration testing service

Social engineering testing

Run approved phishing, phone, or physical-procedure exercises with defined boundaries. In addition, employee support is built in. Social engineering testing

Information security audits

Check controls against your policies and chosen framework, and then document the evidence gaps that auditors or customers are likely to ask about. Security audit service

Risk assessments and remediation planning

Rank risks by likelihood and business impact, and then build a roadmap with owners and verification steps. Risk assessment and security review and remediation

Making enterprise security testing useful

Testing is most useful when its purpose is clear before work starts. Therefore, our team agrees on these points with yours first:

  • The question. For example, could an outside attacker reach payroll data, or do the controls in a new application work as designed?
  • Boundaries. Next, the systems in and out of scope, testing windows, rate limits, third-party hosting approvals, and stop conditions.
  • Coordination. Also, who on your team is told, how urgent findings are reported, and how your monitoring tools should treat test traffic.
  • Proof of fixes. Finally, which findings get retested and what evidence closes them.

Also, for risk ranking we can follow NIST SP 800-30 Rev. 1, and we can map findings to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 or another framework your organization uses.

What enterprise security testing delivers

  1. Executive summaryThe main risks in business terms, written above all for leadership and audit committees.
  2. Technical findingsReproduction steps, evidence, and severity in context for the teams who will fix each issue.
  3. Remediation roadmapPrioritized actions with suggested owners and retest criteria.

A test or assessment describes the systems in scope at the time of the work. In other words, it does not guarantee that an environment is free of vulnerabilities.
